Research on older women in Canada, especially gender based research, is lacking. Older women can remain ignored by policy because of this. Several projects from the Canadian Centre for Older Law have brought women’s voice and issues into more clear focus. April worked on the phase 1 of the project.
Two project reports are available and a new tool ‘ENGAGING OLDER WOMEN IN YOUR COMMUNITY A Promising Practices Guide for Women’s and Senior Serving Organizations’ has just been released today for the National Day for Seniors.
